The research examined the connection between the adoption of motoric skills from exercises on the floor and apparatus, athletics and sports games of the pupils of fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh grade of elementary school on one side and morphologic, motoric and some psychological variables on the other side. The exercises prescribed by the elementary school curriculum for physical education served as the index of adoption of motoric skills and were evaluated by marks from 1 to 5 with 9 levels of gradation. The morphological status of pupils was measured by ten variables, physical ability of pupils was measured by eight variables ('Eurofit' test battery), and the selected features of pupils were measured by three variables. The sample of tests comprised 1002 pupils. Based on the obtained results, it could be said that the basic hypothesis of the research, that there is a significant link between the adopted motoric skills from the exercises on the floor, on apparatus, athletics and sports games of the pupils of the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh grade of elementary school on one side and morphological, motoric and some psychological variables on the other side, is partly confirmed.

A test of motoric abilities was performed at the sample of 333 boys of pre-school age, which is classified according to the length of treatment, i.e. physical exercise in the pre-school institution, in three groups, at the enrolment in elementary school. In order to determine the structure of motoric space, at the entire sample, the explorative factor analysis was done by the method of principal components. The results demonstrate that at this age, boys' motoric abilities are not differentiated, which coincides with the previous researches. Starting from the previously conceived and accepted model of motoric abilities, existing with older age children and the adults, a confirmative factor analysis was done, and its results demonstrate the existence of three factors: coordination, flexibility and balance. In order to realize the differences between the groups of boys in the space of confirmed factors, the discriminative analysis was done. The results of this analysis show that the groups with longer treatment - physical training in pre-school institution have similar ability of coordination, flexibility and balance, and that these groups, compared to the group with the shortest treatment, have better ability of coordination, flexibility and balance. The research results confirm the former findings on non-complete differentiation of motoric abilities of children of this age. It can also be concluded that activities in the field of physical education in pre-school institution have greater effects to the development of coordination, flexibility and balance when practiced from the so called nursery age with regard to the activities performed from the so called oldest age prior to the enrolling in elementary school.

The sample of observation were the male senior national selections of the 16th World Championship in Handball, held in Egypt from 1-16 June 1999. By the transversal model at 19 games, the activity of players was analyzed in 2100 attacks and 2032 defenses of the medal winning team sand teams that did not win medals. The scope of the paper was to identify and analyze mistakes in the phases of attack and defense from the exactly determined structure of contestants' activity of the highly selected handball players as well as to examine the effects of those mistakes at the final result of the games and the team standings. The analysis of activities was done by primary diagnosis according to the standings of teams and to spaces in relation: the total amount of the analyzed mistakes, types of mistakes, consequences of mistakes, realization of penalty shots, player less in attack and/or defense, playing positions (K, B, P, (S)). The results of multi-variant analysis of variance, discriminative analysts, univariant analysis of variance, Student t-test on proportions, factor analysis undoubtedly point that there are statistically significant differences in favor of the medal winning teams at the analyzed space and elements inside them in the phase of attack, which had crucial influence on the final results of the games and team standings. The performed analyses demonstrate that in defense phase there are no statistically significant differences between the observed groups so it could be said that there is great similarity in the play of the observed groups in defense. The obtained results have controlling and corrective function on selection and training of players at all levels, and with certain precautions it is possible to use the obtained results in predicting maximal values and results in simulation process and competition.

The subject of this research is examination of sensitivity of isometric power test (Fmax) and certain tests for evaluation of the speed of power development (tests BRS), at the changes caused by strength training. Upon familiarization with the experimental prerequisites, 8 tests (experimental group) before and after the intensive six week strength training, had a task to develop as fast as possible the maximal isometric powers of flexors and extensors in the elbow joint. The remaining 13 examinees were also tested prior to and after the period of six weeks, but without training between two tests. Apart form maximal power (Fmax) three different criteria for evaluation of BRS were conducted from the noted time function of power signal: time interval from the moment when the achieved level was equal to 30% Fmax to the moment when the level of 70% Fmax (T30%-7o%) was achieved, the maximum of the first source o the power signal in time (PDF) as well as the maximum of the power source in time relativized by the maximal power (RDF/Fmax). Comparing the results prior to and after the test in the experimental group for flexors, as a consequence of training, the significant improvement of Fmax and RFD was noted while there was a negligent effect on the remaining constants. Also, none of the results in post testing (extensors), upon the repeated measurement, did not differ from those obtained in pre-testing. The connection of Fmax with RFD and T30-70% with RFD/ Fmax was statistically significant. When it was compared to the results obtained at the extensors, it was noted that the middle value Fmax and RFD are greater at flexors while RFD/Fmax and T30%-70% were not significantly different. The reliability of the repeated measurement (pre/post-test) measured by 'intraclass' correlation factors, was greater at flexors than at extensors. The reliability of most of the tests at flexors was estimated as good (ICC coefficients in the interval from 0.6 to 0.8). The obtained results suggest that besides Fmax even RFD is sensitive to changes provoked by the applied type of training, while RDF/F i.e. T30%-70% are not. Although between pre and post test 6 weeks passed, the reliability of Fmax and RFD remained satisfactory.

The research of motoric space of the children of pre/school age, or more precisely of manipulative arm movements, brought to conclusion that regular stay and work in nurseries highly condition better results. The sample of 204 7-year boys and girls, at their admission to school, by the transversal method of taking samples, was tested with five standard tests for arm manipulation (aiming with rod on the run - CILJPUT, aiming with a pencil - CILJOL, striking at the horizontal panels UDPHP, shooting on the run - GADJTRC and darts). A statistically significant difference was determined among both boys and girls in manipulative movements of the upper extremities in favor of the groups under experimental treatment with univariant, as well as multivariant data analysts (discriminative analysis).

The influence by program of rhythmical gymnastics on coordination is determined by classical experiment with the parallel groups. The research was realized in primary school '20. October' on the specimen of 5th grade female pupils. The experimental group consisted of 34 girls and the control group consisted of 30 girls. The experiment lasted for eight weeks, i.e. 24 classes. The mobility tests were used for revaluation of the general and specific coordination (there were three general and five specific tests). After eight-week practicing it was proved that the experimental practicing program was very effective and that it led to significant progress of the examinees from the experimental group. In contrast to them, it cannot be said that eight - week practicing left more significant impact on general and specific coordination of the pupils from the control group that were practicing according to the standard school program of physical education.

On a sample of 926 schools, a research was earned out, to objectively ascertain and verify the material conditions for teaching physical education as a subject. The assessment was made from the aspect of categorization of the schools in the sample. The schools were divided into 24 regions and classed into 6 categories and 5 sub-categories. As a valorization criterion, the existence of certain spaces in the building was taken. On this sample was found that in most schools in Serbia the real conditions for teaching this subject are not in accordance with the existing legal normatives. This finding led the author to propose a minimum space (area) needed for teaching physical education; this, on the basis of relevant requirements as stated in the scientific and professional literature, the appropriate pedagogical, hygienic and other norms, and on the basis of practical experiences. This research also demonstrated that in 7,2% of the schools there is no room for physical education at all; in 25,4% the teaching is done simply in the schoolyard with put any other space (in the building) available; while in 53,9% the existing objects are in an excessively bad condition. For these schools, concrete proposals are given, as to how to create the necessary spaces and how to proceed with the teaching in the given conditions.

Physical abilities decline with age, but regular physical exercise in the third age can significantly slow down these changes. The objective of this research is to determine and compare physical abilities of the two different groups of women of the third age, only one of them regularly engaged in physical activities. The sample of examinees were 13 women aged 62, who regularly practice yoga in an organized way for at least one year, three times a week for one hour; and 12 women aged 62, who do not practice regularly. The sample of variables consisted of 6 variables from the area of physical abilities: lifting in sitting position, forward bend in sitting position, trunk-bending in standing position, balance on one foot, high jump from a standing start, hand tapping. The testing was done according to the protocol predicted in the Eurofit battery of tests for the adults. The results show that the tests from the group that do exercises achieved better results in all tests, but that difference was statistically significant (at the level of significance 0.01) only at two tests: lifting in a sitting position (14,59 - 0.885 at the experimental compared to the 8,17 -5,49 at the control group) and balance on one foot (8,08 - 3,82 at the experimental, compared to 12,92 - 4,68 at the control group).

By critical review to current tendencies of power development in sport, a contemporary model of power development in acrobatics was presented. Theoretically justified instructions for application of different methods of power development in each phase separately, are directed at the elaboration of annual training plan as well as to global planning of power development of the gymnasts specialized in floor exercises, much more than to the plans for gymnasts who compete in all events.

Professional work of educators of physical culture with the students of performing arts contains many specific details. One of those distinguishing features, we could say the crucial one, is the role of physical culture pedagogue which is very important from the admission examination at the studies to the diploma examination. The responsibility is great since the pedagogue has task and obligation to follow continually the work and life of students during the studies which is rare in our profession. Students attend program contents of physical culture classes at all four years of studies, at subject entitled 'Physical culture' and 'Rhythmics' professionally lead by the pedagogues of physical culture, as well as at the subjects 'Acting' and 'Scene movement' lead by the drama pedagogues. Due to those reasons it is impossible to improve the professional work of the physical culture pedagogue if he is not informed about the contents of the subjects 'Acting' and 'Scene movement' and if he does not cooperate with the pedagogues in charge of those subjects. Further, it is necessary to instruct the pedagogue in theory of acting, to get him to know acting and the features of an actor and of a student of performing arts. Professional strains have to be directed to finding of various aspects and forms of physical culture activities, and sometimes even of those form sand contents that could go out of the frames of physical culture, aimed to introduce student, lead and at the end qualify for his future professional work (life on scene) and life in general. This paper gives some theoretic and methodic assumptions of professional work with students of performing arts. It was considered how, in which way and why some contents of physical culture should be more present i.e. more accented in classes. Further, we will see the problems during the instruction and problems of the performing art students, in order to solve them or put some effort to overcome them successfully. Certain key moments, interesting and specific things during the work with the students of the Faculty of performing arts are considered as well as the type of curriculum contents in teaching that are more represented, more important and the reasons for that.

Speaking about sports psychology and its significance for practicing and success in sport, three fields in personality study of athletes are stressed: structure, dynamics and development. Although all three field present unique whole in personality study of athletes, this paper, due to adequate research method, initiated examination of the fields of structure of athletes' personality, i.e. its structural/functional elements denominated as dispositions. Two dispositions are selected (motive of sports achievement and anxiety) which were previously determined to represent relevant factors for success in sport. Upon the definition of these two dispositions, and the stressing of their significance for success in sport, it was commenced with the examination of their interconnection in two groups of athletes: tennis and football players. The research confirmed that there is no statistically significant connection between motive of sports achievement and anxiety of the tennis players, while the significant interconnection of these two dispositions was proved for the football players.
