Branislav Jevtić Editor-in-chief of the "Physical Culture" journal. | ||
![]() The mission of the "Physical Culture" scientific journal, which has been published since 1947, is to be an intermediary between the educational, scientific and social essence of knowledge about human physical activity. Therefore, the subject of this paper should be understood in this light, which by its title implies a discussion of the facts and relations between Olympism, sports and art on the Journal pages. In addition to analyzing the meaning of the published articles, the aim was to recognize and then create a theoretical construct for a purposeful and comprehensive understanding of the flow of discussions about the artistic and aesthetic in sports, but also about embodiment through body movement, self-knowledge and cognition, affectations, constructed attitudes, behaviors, virtues, etc. Everything published on the pages of "Physical Culture" contains high-quality cognitive assumptions for a new strategy and action towards improving "natural knowledge" valuable for the improvement of the individual and society through science, culture and the art of physical activity. Arriving at the answer to the subject of this editorial has taken place through academic facts and the creative practice of Olympism, sports and dance art (practice-guided knowledge).
