indent Abstract
A test of motoric abilities was performed at the sample of 333 boys of pre-school age, which is classified according to the length of treatment, i.e. physical exercise in the pre-school institution, in three groups, at the enrolment in elementary school. In order to determine the structure of motoric space, at the entire sample, the explorative factor analysis was done by the method of principal components. The results demonstrate that at this age, boys' motoric abilities are not differentiated, which coincides with the previous researches. Starting from the previously conceived and accepted model of motoric abilities, existing with older age children and the adults, a confirmative factor analysis was done, and its results demonstrate the existence of three factors: coordination, flexibility and balance. In order to realize the differences between the groups of boys in the space of confirmed factors, the discriminative analysis was done. The results of this analysis show that the groups with longer treatment - physical training in pre-school institution have similar ability of coordination, flexibility and balance, and that these groups, compared to the group with the shortest treatment, have better ability of coordination, flexibility and balance. The research results confirm the former findings on non-complete differentiation of motoric abilities of children of this age. It can also be concluded that activities in the field of physical education in pre-school institution have greater effects to the development of coordination, flexibility and balance when practiced from the so called nursery age with regard to the activities performed from the so called oldest age prior to the enrolling in elementary school.
